Red-letter day in Navotas

MANILA, Philippines –  Navotas had a star-studded 105th founding anniversary celebration led by Rep. Toby Tiangco (far left with Precious Lara Quigaman) and Mayor John Rey Tiangco (left with Marian Rivera). The Tiangco brothers marked the day  with a traditional fireworks display, grand parade, street performers, drum and bugles, drum and lyre, mascots, clowns and jugglers.

Among those who also came to the Navotas Centennial Park were Jillian Ward, Ely Buendia and Pupil Band, Jovit Baldivino, Gerald Santos, Manny Pooh Quiao, Rachel Alejandro, Vice Ganda, Geneva Cruz, Gloc9 and the PMADIA Dancers. Theme was  Navotas, Itaas ang Antas ng Buhay Navoteno.

Navotas won PDEA’s Outstanding LGU citation in the Fight Against Illegal Drugs, the Cleanest and Greenest Municipality Award thrice, Best Peace and Order Council for three straight years, Best Municipal Jail twice, Best Municipal Police Station twice, Best Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Outstanding LGU for Literacy Program and Highest Apprehension in CAMANAVA for Drug-Related Cases.
