MANILA, Philippines - Of the five indie films considered as finalists in the last Metro Manila Filmfest 2010, Rindido was the only one classified R-18 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) due to some explicit sex scenes involving new sexy actress Chanel Latorre and her two leading men, Noriel Jarito and Vic Tiro and the violent, bloody and suspenseful scenes towards the end.
Rindido tells of an OFW’s one-day ordeal from the moment he arrived from the Middle East jobless, catching his lady love in a sex act with another man, then killing both of them and holding hostage a female bystander, up to the time he gets killed by the police.
Written and directed by Samareño filmmaker Noriel Jarito (from Pambujan, Northern Samar), Rindido also stars Banjo Romeo. It opens tomorrow, Jan. 26, in Metro Manila theaters.
