MANILA, Philippines - How well do you know your neighbors? Welcome to The Gates, a community where all may seem normal on the surface but enter the homes of its residents and deeper darker secrets are waiting to be revealed. This is one place where knowing who your neighbors are and what they can do is a matter of life or death. The Gates premieres Oct. 28, at 9 p.m. on 2nd Avenue.
Its newest homeowner Nick Monohan (Frank Grillo) has just recently moved to The Gates to take up the position of Chief of Police bringing with him his family, wife Sarah (Marisol Nichols), son Charlie (Travis Caldwell) and daughter Dana (McKaley Miller). Looking for a fresh start The Gates’ quiet picturesque, upscale community seems like an ideal place just for that.
Welcoming them to the neighborhood are Claire (Rhona Mitra) and Dylan Radcliff (Luke Mably) an attractive couple that are parents to one young daughter. Dylan spends his days working at a laboratory while Claire takes care of domestic affairs at home. Their cellar holds an extensive collection of wine perfect for community gatherings as well as a fridge stocked with blood. What the Monohan’s don’t know is that they have just moved next door to a couple of vampires.
In fact, vampires are not the only supernatural residents, The Gates has become a popular place for witches, werewolves and other non-humans to take refuge at. A community where being different is not a big deal.
Join the Monohan’s as they discover that the place they call “home” is not at all what they think it to be.
