MANILA, Philippines - When SM City Calamba opens its doors to the public tomorrow, Oct. 15, it will lead the way to a star-studded weekend graced by Kapamilya and Kapuso stars. After all, SM opening will not only bring great shopping and leisure, but also its entertainment excitement to Laguna.
The fun begins on opening day when 500 students from different schools in Calamba join in the dancing and merrymaking to welcome guests and shoppers. Students from the Lyceum of the Philippines Calamba Campus, Pamantasan ng Cabuyao and other schools join in the tambourine dance.
As the doors are opened in the SM tradition, gymnast and drumbeaters will add to the revelry as the SM jingle is played, as dancers from the Philippine High School for Arts in Mount Makiling join in the celebration.
Maja Salvador will cap the opening day festivities as she greets Calambeños and Laguneses in the afternoon.
On Oct. 16, the cast of ABS-CBN’s popular afternoon soap Rosalka — Empress Schuck, Matt Evans, Felix Roco and more — will make a stop at the mall. On Oct. 17, GMA 7’s Tween Hearts stars Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio will have a mall show with cast mates Bea Binene and Jake Vargas joining them.
