MANILA, Philippines - The K-Pop culture in the country has an exciting latest addition with the advent of the Korean pop group POINTEN composed of four young, pretty, vibrant and talented Fil-Korean girls.
Yuju, Vicc, Garyn and Sharien are extraordinary girls skilled in the art of singing, dancing and acting all of their musical numbers. They are set to hold a grand launch of their debut album under Sony Music in a free show on Oct. 1, 6 p.m. at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
This early, POINTEN has been getting excellent reviews and is actually being predicted to top most of the Korean pop groups in the local and Korean music industry.
POINTEN is a brainchild of Chanelle Kim, GM for Macrolite Corp. (MLC), a general trading company recognized by the Korean government for its trade achievements, which has expanded its boundaries to include the music industry. Chanelle says, “You just have to see the girls to believe how talented, beautiful and wonderful they truly are on stage.”
As it is, Chanelle says POINTEN is being touted to trail blaze the local music industry more than the other Korean pop groups have already. “We are quite confident,” she says.
Although individually, each girl has her own forte and specialization, POINTEN as a group becomes something uniquely awesome when the members start performing together. The outstanding harmony brings out the high-energy dynamism and excellence in their performance.
Each of these girls is totally committed to her craft and everyone is highly disciplined — subjecting themselves to serious training and rigorous rehearsals to perfect their craft. POINTEN possesses undeniable charm, charisma, beauty and grace that make it totally appealing to a wider market.
Presently, the group is doing the rounds of campus and universities all over Metro Manila; mall tours all over the country, and doing TV and radio guestings, for them to reach to everybody and share their music.
MYX will also unveil exclusively POINTEN’s music video.
