MANILA, Philippines - Priscilla Ramirez (photo), an actress in the ’50s, recently died of congestive heart failure in the City of Perris in Los Angeles.
She was 98. Eufrosena Asperas in real life, Priscilla appeared in more than 50 films, starting as a supporting actress in LVN Pictures during the time of Armando Goyena and Tessie Quintana with whom Priscilla did Ligaw Tingin (above). Her other films include Bandana (with Susan Roces and Romeo Vasquez), Mga Tigreng Taga-Bukid (with FPJ), Kambal na Lihim (with Leopoldo Salcedo and Jose Padilla Jr.), Sa Puso ni Bathala (with Eddie Rodriguez), Galawgaw (with Nida Blanca), Emily (with Charito Solis) and Malvarosa.
Priscilla also worked with great directors like Gregorio Fernandez, Susana de Guzman and Consuelo Osorio. In the ’70s, she appeared in films with Vilma Santos, Edgar Mortiz, Nora Aunor and Eddie Peregrina.
