Not too many actors attend to so many things the way Anne Curtis does.
She brightens up your mornings on ABS-CBN’s Showtime Mondays to Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Sunday afternoons are never dull when you see her singing and dancing in A.S.A.P. XV. Shooting for her latest movie under GMA Films and Viva titled In Your Eyes with former beau Richard Gutierrez and Claudine Barretto puts her talent to the fore once more. A teleserye will also see Anne pit talents with veteran and young stars anew. Not to be stricken out in her long list of duties are the various product endorsements that also remind you of Anne’s consumer appeal. Natasha’s apparel line, bags and footwear (with a DVD catalog showing Anne in Natasha collection) is the latest addition in her fashion brand campaigns.
But Anne is not complaining. She knows when to stop, play for awhile and get back to work fully-charged.
“I really work as hard as I can, like I go all out. But when I feel that my body is getting tired and I look at what I’m doing as just a job as if I’m not passionate about it, I ask for a vacation. That’s why when I come back, on fire again, more energy,” she says.
Going out of the country, she adds, allows her to live a normal life — the kind that lets her breathe and move freely in a crowd unaware of her status as a person. Different places do not just make her relax but add to her knowledge about the kind of culture each place possesses.
“I make sure to visit a new place every time I go on vacation. This time I’m looking forward to go to Croatia or South America.”
She, too, doesn’t sulk in a corner about negative write ups in the tabs. Having been in showbiz for 13 years, Anne knows how to handle showbiz pressures. Worry saps one’s energy faster than work. Thus, enjoying every minute of her day keeps Anne from getting dull and restless. Find out how Anne goes through a hectic day:
7:30 a.m. — I get up, check my cellphone then go on Twitter for about 20 minutes. I always Twit, “Good morning, it’s showtime!” Then, I take a shower.
8 a.m. — I dress up, eat breakfast and prepare to leave the house to go straight to ABS-CBN.
8:30 a.m.— I have to leave early because you never know if traffic is heavy.
9:30 or 10 a.m. — Start doing my makeup but now gusto ko lang wag mag-makeup so wala lang I just put on lipstick, cool na.
10:30 a.m.— Ready to show up in Showtime and it goes on until 12:30 in the afternoon.
12:30 p.m. – I’m set to go on the set for shooting that usually lasts until 4 or 5 a.m. the next day. If I’m not shooting, I do pictorials naman.
1 or 1:30 p.m. – I have lunch on the set or sometimes nagta-take out ako.
Shooting breaks depend on the number of scenes to be shot. I just go on Twitter during breaks or I sleep.
Whenever there’s no shooting or pictorial — that means after 12:30 — it’s a free day.
2 p.m. — I do my groceries or I go to a salon.
7 or 8 p.m. — I have dinner with friends.
8:30 or 9 p.m.—I’m ready to go home na.
10 p.m. — I’m home. Wash my face, change clothes and prepare my things for the next day at nag-Twi-Twitter pa din ako.
12 midnight or 1:30 a.m. — I go to bed and sleep so I can be ready to face a new day. —Bot Glorioso
