MANILA, Philippines - Dd Side A, Freestyle and Nina will topbill Love 2 Love 2 Love on Feb. 12 at the Araneta Coliseum. They will perform songs that have been tried and tested in their gigs. The show features a new repertoire. “We’ve only alternated with her (Nina) in gigs and co-hosted a music channel segment but that’s about it until now,” says Joey Generoso of Side A.
Jinky adds, “As for Freestyle, we remember having her as guest performer in one of our shows and that was years ago way before she has had this treasure trove of hits.”
Nina could very well say the same of Side A and Freestyle. The first has been the top pop/rock band since the ‘80s while the second is a successful pop/R&B band.
Nina, Side A and Freestyle will perform together most of the times, limiting solo spots to just one or two each. That means a lot of medleys, duets and trios.
The repertoire of Love 2 Love 2 Love will run the gamut of songs from the ’70s to present, and across pop, dance, rock, R&B, soul, adult contemporary and Top 40. “We made sure there’s everything for everyone here,” quips Jinky.
