MANILA, Philippines - Director Joel Lamangan’s drama, Sagrada Familia, is a film about a family that crumbles when the mother (played by Snooky Serna) leaves for abroad to be an OFW because she dreams of financial stability for her family. She leaves her family under the care of her mother-in-law (Gloria Diaz). The husband (Emilio Garcia), feeling abandoned and unhappy, takes it out on their only daughter (Lovi Poe) whom he physically and emotionally abuses. When the mother returns, she sees the devastation that awaits her.
The film also stars Robert Arevalo. The screenplay is by Racquel Villavicencio, from a story she co-wrote with Lamangan and line produced by Dennis Evangelista.
