MANILA, Philippines - More than 30 million trees are cut down annually for virgin paper used for the production of books sold in the US alone. Eco-Libris aims to raise awareness on the environmental impact of using paper for the production of books and give people and businesses an affordable, easy way to do something about it: Plant one tree for every book they read, publish or sell.
Kabbalah Publishing invites readers to take action and balance out this and future book purchases with Eco-Libris on www.ecolibris.net/yehudaberg.asp.
For every book you balance out, you will receive a sticker made of recycled paper saying, “One tree planted for their book,” which you can display on your book shelves. For every five trees planted on your behalf, one more tree will be planted on behalf of Kabbalah Publishing as an appreciation of its commitment to the environment.
Founded in 2007, Eco-Libris is a green company that works with book readers, publishers, authors, bookstores and others in the book industry to make reading more sustainable.
