Shows to watch on 2nd Avenue

MANILA, Philippines - 2nd Avenue’s favorite tv series are back on the airlanes with new seasons.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott return on TV — sans inn and with another baby in the way — with Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, the latest addition to 2nd Avenue’s Ladies Night now airing Monday nights at 9.

The show enters its third season with a revamped title and an expanded running time (30 minutes to one hour), as it now chronicles the famous couple’s relocation to Hollywood with Tori pregnant with her second child. So expect more laughs and more drama as Tori and Dean begin a new chapter in their life in the world’s most famous entertainment district!

More suburban misadventures abound in the second season of Weeds also Monday nights at 10. The critically-acclaimed comedy drama follows Nancy Botwin (Mary Louise Parker), a widowed housewife and devoted mom forced to sell homegrown marijuana to make ends meet for her family. The show also revolves around her struggles to keep the family together in the midst of conducting her shady business.

Since its premiere in August 2005, the show has garnered a significant amount of critical acclaim and even earned Mary Louise Parker a Golden Globe for Best Lead Actress in a TV Comedy in 2006. Since then, the show has accumulated an overwhelming total of 19 Emmy nominations and 10 Golden Globe nominations.

Secrets come at a price in Mad Men, the sexy, stylish and provocative advertising drama returning for its second season Thursday nights at 10.

After its successful debut season, the series takes us back to the conflicted world of womanizing ad man Don Draper and his colleagues in the Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency. The plot thickens as more startling secrets are revealed in Draper’s personal life and more details about his true identity begin to surface.
