MANILA, Philippines - The single has been staying strong in the Pinoy Myx Countdown for more than seven weeks now and still counting, the song has been earning heavy airplay in various radio stations, and the tune has been stuck in people’s heads. The voice behind it is pop duo Krissy & Ericka. Just from setting up a mere YouTube channel, the two have managed to tickle the fancy of audiences and now have made a name for themselves. Featuring Up Up Down Down, Krissy & Ericka launched their self-titled album recently in A.S.A.P. ’09.
Krissy & Ericka are good guitarists, singers and songwriters. Being exposed in various shows and performing alongside big names such as Richard Poon and Sam Milby, the girls have had their share of performances which inspired them to put their hearts into music. Both have also taken formal music lessons from the UP School of Music for voice, classical music and flute. They are honing their craft by continuing to do their own compositions and exploring unchartered territories.
The album features fresh, exciting tracks such as Game of Love, Runaway, Baby Now that I Found You, and the M2M hit, Don’t Say You Love Me, which are all given a refreshing sound with a tinge of country feel. It also has original compositions such as He’d Look My Way, Hope for Humanity, Surf’s Up, Sisters and Up Up Down Down.
Krissy and Ericka also give the Broadway hit Tomorrow from the musical Annie a new pop twist.
Under MCA Music, Inc., the album is available in all major record bars nationwide.
