Lo’ Waist Gang (1956) was such a hit that the following year the members were reunited on a grand vacation. The reunion movie was titled Bakasyon Grande, topbilled by — but of course — Fernando Poe Jr. and Zaldy Zshornack, with Corazon Rivas as leading lady.
The Lo’ Waist Gang included Berting Labra, Boy Francisco, Butch Bautista (father of Quezon City Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista) and Boy Sta. Romana.
Like Lo’ Waist Gang, Bakasyon Grande was produced by Larry Santiago and directed by his brother Pablo (father of Rowell, Randy and Raymart Santiago).
Featured were Bobby (billed Bob Gonzales), Paquito Toledo, Tony Cruz and the Darling Twins (Aurora and Esperanza). — RKC
