MANILA, Philippines - Childhaus (Children’s Health Improvement and Life Development) was founded in Oct. 28, 2003 through the help of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Metro Manila Development Authority, Quezon City local government and the Ricky Reyes Foundation.
It was conceived by Ricky Reyes (third from right) to provide temporary shelter to young patients who undergo treatment for serious ailments and those parents cannot afford to transport them from faraway provinces, and give them a comfortable dwelling.
On its sixth year, Childhaus located at the PCSO compound in E. Rodriguez Ave., Quezon City has survived through the help of its benefactors. The latest is the installation of a water purifying system donated by the Rotary Club of Salcedo Makati for safe potable drinking water for the patients, guardians and staff.
