MANILA, Philippines – The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) and the Small Business Corp. (SBC) will launch a forum on Micro-Enterprise, Micro Finance and the Academe today, 8 a.m. at the Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resource Center’s Bulwagang Balagtas. The Office of the Vice President for Research, Development and Extension headed by Dr. Pastor Malaborbor through the Center for Entrepreneurial Development will spearhead the forum. The event is in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs headed by Dr. Samuel Salvador. Virgilio Angelo, chairman and CEO of SBC will talk about Enterprise and University Partnership for Community Development.
The highlight of the event will be the MOA Signing between PUP, which will be represented by its president Dr. Dante Guevarra, and SBC, represented by Angelo.
Center for Entrepreneurial Development director Prof. Apolonio Duque says the focus of the forum is on the micro-entrepreneurship program in all PUP campuses especially those located in rural areas.
PUP officials, faculty members and students from the different colleges and nearby campuses are expected to attend.
