His Liwanag ng Kapayapaan Foundation helps send children to school and provides medical care to the sick belonging to disadvantaged families.
The Paaralan ng Liwanag ng Kapayapaan though does not offer education for free. The tuition is set as low as P300. If the child’s parents still cannot afford the tuition, they are given the option to earn the amount by doing volunteer work in the school. “The idea is to not take away from the parents their responsibility of sending their children to school, but to give them the means to achieve their goals for their children’s future,” Robin said. “The parents need not pity what they need is how to get smart with things in life.”
Robin should know a thing or two about the right diskarte. He started out as a stuntman in the early years of his career. He worked his way up by improving his martial arts skills and his acting ability. The one thing that never changed is his humility, which is evident in the warm treatment he gives to the hardworking production crew and his staff.
As an actor, Robin believes that he has to be a role model especially to those who idolize him. That is why he would always tell them to love their work and not resort to complaining. He advises them to look for ways to improve their situation because nobody else will do it for them. He also advocates putting the family first — a value he exemplifies in the way he manages to take care of his family despite his hectic schedule.
