The 11th Hour premieres on HBO

MANILA, Philippines - To celebrate Earth Day, HBO will premiere The 11th Hour on Wednesday, April 22, starting at 9 p.m. to help spread environmental awareness and draw attention to the crisis of global warming, with replays on Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m. and on Sunday, April 26, at 3 p.m.

Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, The 11th Hour describes the last moment when change is possible. The film explores how humanity has arrived at this moment — how we live, how we impact the earth’s ecosystems, and what we can do to change our course.

It features dialogues with experts from all over the world, including former Soviet Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev, renowned scientist Stephen Hawking, former head of the CIA R. James Woolsey, and sustainable design experts William McDonough and Bruce Mau, plus over 50 leading scientists, thinkers and leaders who present the facts and discuss the most important issues that face our planet.

To lend support to the green cause, HBO’s on-air logo and the HBO Asia website (www.hboasia.com) will turn green on Earth Day. Energy-saving tips are also being aired on the HBO channel, reminding viewers they can play a part to stop the global crisis.
