MANILA, Philippines - After her first solo concert dubbed Standards Alive, held at Teatrino Theatre & Bar at the Greenhills Promenade last year, Nikki J. (photo) is back to end the love month with a night of good old standards.
Dubbed Standards in Love, her latest concert will once again be held at Teatrino, on Feb. 27, 8 p.m. The concert is the latest installment on Nikki J.’s Standards Concert Series.
With arrangements by Kettle Mata, Nikki J. will sing upbeat renditions of Connie Francis’ songs Stuck on You, Return to Sender and Lipstick on Your Collar and bossa nova versions of Elvis Presley songs Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes and Don’t be Cruel, among others.
Guest stars are Trina Chong and Jastine Alfonso. Meanwhile, Dyords Javier is back to give the show a comedic twist.
Standards in Love is directed by Ray Junia and presented by PCSO, PAGCOR, SBMA, Bureau of Immigration and Rep. Joeben Miraflores.
