The University of the East (UE) community will celebrate its annual yuletide event named 2008 Christmas Extravaganza today, 2 p.m. at the UE Theater, Fifth Floor, Dalupan Bldg., UE Manila Campus, C.M. Recto Ave.
UE Manila and UE Caloocan campuses’ executives, management personnel, faculty and rank-and-file employees will enjoy the two-hour program that features the UE Band, UE Dance Troupe and UE Chorale.
The UE president and Chief Academic Officer Ester Garcia will deliver her Christmas message to the UE community, to be followed by a raffle of prizes, an interpretative dance contest titled Sino Ba Si Santa Claus? and the announcement and awarding of the winners of the Santa Claus-Making Competition.
The interpretative dance contest winners will receive P10,000 for first prize; P7,000, second prize; and P5,000, third prize. In the Santa Claus-Making Competition, up for grabs are P7,000, first prize; P5,000, second prize; P3,000, third prize; and P2,000, fourth prize.
