Gary Valenciano has again shared the audience the greatness of his faith in the recent show His Love . Gary’s relationship with God has worked wonders in his life, career and family.
The concert, figuratively and literally overflowed with love and romance as Gary sang some of his hits mostly dedicated to wife Angeli. He thanked her for the support and love she has given him all these years. Gary also told everyone that his three children (Paolo, Gabriel and Keana) are the most beautiful and the best part of his 25 years in the industry.
His Love showcased the talents of Paolo, the lead vocalist of Salamin and Gabriel, who has showed his dancing skills in various venues.
Paolo performed the Beatles medley with dad while Gabriel showed his talent on the dancefloor.Gabriel’s interpretation of Shout for Joy elicited applause. Nearly out of breath, Gary joked at the end of the showdown that he is thankful to God that at 43 he still has the energy to dance with a 19-year-old.
Other highlights included the appearance of Keana, who performed a duet with Gary. “Keana is not in her perfect form. But she wanted to be in my concert,” said Gary.
The show also saw Gary V interpreting Freddie Aguilar’s Anak in different languages. He started off with the spotlight trained on him as he crouched while singing the first few strains of Anak The world-famous song assumed different arrangements, some with an African beat. Musical director Mon Faustino did a great job.
I have seen Gary perform several times and watching him again on stage and playing different kind of instruments, was like watching a young performer full of energy. If you have not experienced a Gary V performance or want to see him again, you can still catch him tonight at 8 p.m. at Music Museum.
