New Year’s resolutions galore

Every new year, I come up with New Year’s resolutions. I would write my dos and don’ts. I also write the things I had wanted to achieve in the past year but did not, things that I wanted to do but couldn’t, places that I wanted to visit but travel was not just possible, and new things to learn for there are always new things to learn. Here’s a list for everyone:

1. I wish that there would be more love and kindness.

2. I wish for a less polluted environment.

3. I wish that people would help save the seas, and stop cutting the trees.

4. I wish that traffic would just go away.

5. I wish cha cha can spin into fox trot or hip-hop.

6. I wish that killings of whatever kind would cease.

7. I wish that all street children find their homes.

8. I wish that gays in all corners will be given equal and the same opportunities as everyone else.

9. I wish for an invigorated movie industry.

10. I wish for my sister Kris an easy delivery.

11. I wish good health, wealth and happiness for everyone.

12. I wish Nanay long life and a happy birthday.

I also asked some celebrities what they envision 2007 to be, what their New Year’s resolutions are and what were the things they did in the past year which they should not have done but they did them any way. Here are their answers:

Danita Paner –
My New Year’s resolution is to gain more self-confidence and improve my performing skills. Last year, I spent almost all of my allowance that I ended up getting broke. Next year, I hope that my album will do well in the music scene.

Mariel Rodriguez –
My New Year’s resolution is to save. I am not the kind of person who regrets. I don’t regret anything because I learn a lot from my mistakes. In 2007, I see myself happy being the Kapitbahay ni Kuya. I know I will be with my tropang gising again and I can’t wait.

Rufa Mae Quinto –
My New Year’s resolution is to concentrate on movies, commercials, live concerts and TV. I’ll try drama for a change. I will also do workshops, voice lessons and possibly a world tour. I don’t have regrets despite the controversies I went through. I had the best year this year and I am super blessed talaga.

Angelika de la Cruz –
Next year, I hope to watch my diet at di na ako kakain ng madami.

Keanna Reeves –
My New Year’s resolution is to visit church regularly, fulfill my responsibilities and be professional. I also intend to watch my diet. I used to take things for granted before.

Kim Flores –
My New Year’s resolution is to be more happy because I am happy. I would also like to save more money. Next year, I’ll be in college and I hope I will do good.

Dominic Ochoa –
I want to be aggressive because I have been playing safe for the longest time. I think we should not be afraid to try a lot of things. I also hope to study, read, study, read. For 2007, I want to see Dominic as an actor, businessman, server, sportsman and lastly, the ballroom dancer.

To my very dear readers, a blessed New Year!
