Sarap to the bone!

The secret recipe of Max’s chicken remains untold over the decades but the restaurant’s secret ingredient to 60 years of success has been revealed. Last Nov. 29, the house that fried chicken built celebrated the culmination of its 60th year at the Araneta Coliseum with a Christmas party-concert for the company’s greatest asset: Max’s employees.

Thousands of individuals, who make up the workforce of Max’s tirelessly serving customers in 107 branches, have been regarded by the owners as instrumental in the growth of the food chain.

Employees expressed their gratitude to the company for it is through their work at Max’s that they are able to send their children to school and provide for the needs of their own families.

During the affair, four employees were granted assistance by Max’s. Medical support for a right leg operation was given to a hit-and-run victim; a round-trip ticket to Bicol was taken care of by the company for an employee visiting his wife’s grave for the death anniversary; SM and Max’s gift certificates and baby products were given to a new father; and a medical assistance package to an employee for his mother’s eye operation. Raffle prizes were also handed over to employees.

The Christmas program mainly featured the talents of Max’s workforce in song-and- dance numbers with Geneva Cruz, Arianna, Kyla and Jay-R.

Hosted by Jon Santos disguised as Ate Vi, the activity showcased production numbers, trivia games on Max’s, an audio-visual presentation on the family spirit of the restaurant, and a photo exhibit on the history of the company.

The night ended with a surprise mini-concert by Gary Valenciano and a performance by Piolo Pascual. It was indeed quality time spent with the Max’s family.
