"We chose Bea because of her good qualities. Shes young. Shes fresh and very beautiful. Shes a fast-rising star and she has what it takes to be the next big and important star of todays generation," says Josie Go, owner of Karimadon.
"Above all," Go emphasizes, "weve worked closely with Bea for pictorials and events. Shes such a sweet girl. Shes always on time and very professional. Bea is truly a role for the youth."
The selection of Bea coincides with the launch of the new look and image of Karimadon. Stores in Metro Manila have recently undergone renovations to make the interiors brighter, more relaxed, and airier so clients can feel truly at home. Karimadon also has a new hip logo and sign board: a trendier and classier printed font in lower case letters that replace the pervious script font design.
This month, Karimadon will unveil its first giant billboard on Edsa featuring Bea in what Go describes as a "sexy but very classy pose and style."
In the past Karimadon dressed up a lot of female celebrities. Lani Mercado, Glydel Mercado, Alice Dixson, Rita Avila, Snooky Serna, Carmina Villaroel, Aiko Melendez, Ruffa Gutierrez, Nancy Castiglione, Angelika de la Cruz, and Donita Rose, among many others, are all Karimadon ladies; at a particular point in their careers, they donned clothes of Karimadon. Donita Rose was Karimadons first celebrity image model.
From a modest space in Virra Mall in Greenhills, Karimadon has grown to 12 stores. The first franchise store opened in SM Marilao last June 27, with Bea Alonzo as special guest. Karimadon will open its 13th store in SM City Pampanga this August. The fashion store offers affordable, stylish and classy casual and evening wear for women in their teens for their 30s. Theres always something new in Karimadons stores as new selections are put on the racks every two weeks.
"Were so proud to be part of dressing up the Filipina for almost 25 years now," Josie Go says, smiling. "We intend to make the Filipina even more beautiful and stylish for many, many years to come."
