Man kills son-in-law in Pasig
MANILA, Philippines — A 60-year-old man allegedly killed his son-in-law over his failure to give financial support to his two grandchildren in Pasig City on Saturday night.
Zosimo Nelvida, 60, fled after the killing of Michael Pacurib, 28, in Barangay Santolan at around 9 p.m.
City police chief Senior Superintendent Orlando Yebra Jr. ordered a manhunt for Nelvida.
Police said Pacurib and Nelvida’s daughter have gone separate ways. The couple left their children to the suspect, case investigator Police Officer 1 Oliver Baquiran said.
Witnesses said Nelvida went to Pacurib’s house to ask for financial support for the children.
At the height of their argument, Nelvida got hold of a hard object and repeatedly hit Pacurib in the head.
The victim was rushed to the Amang Rodriquez Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
