200 drug surrenderees, nagtapos ng skills training ni Joy Belmonte

MANILA, Philippines — Nasa mahigit 200 drug surrenderees sa Quezon City ang nakapagtapos ng skills training program na inilunsad ni QC Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte.

Sila ang unang batch ng benipisaryo ng programang ito na binuo ng Office of the Vice Mayor, Quezon City Skills and Livelihood Foundation, Inc., at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

 Ang mga kursong tinuturo ay balloon decor-making, candy-making, soap-making, meat processing, at home bread-making.

“Ito ay mga simpleng matutunan pero may pera sa mga ganitong kasanayan.  With these new know­ledge and skills you can start your life anew,” sabi pa ni Belmonte sa mga nagsipagtapos.

Ang mga benipisaryo ay nakatanggap ng trai­ning at entrepreneurship certificates at starter kits na naglalaman ng iba’t ibang kagamitan na magagamit nila sa pagsisimula ng kani-kanilang pagkakakitaan.

Ayon kay Belmonte, layunin ng programa na mabigyan ng sapat na kakayahan ang mga drug suspects upang makapagsimula ng maliit na negosyo o pinagkakakitaan.
