UP belles eye fiery finish vs Warriors
MANILA, Philippines — The “bottom four” take the court to try to end their respective UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball campaign on a bright note today at the Blue Eagle Gym.
University of the Philippines (5-8), riding the crest of back-to-back upsets over National U and Ateneo, guns for a fiery last game against University of the East (2-11) at 2 p.m. while Adamson (5-8) and Santo Tomas (4-9), two sides that lost to La Salle in their last outings, eye one win for the road at 4 p.m.
The foursome are left to pack their bags after No. 1 La Salle (11-2), Top 2 contenders Ateneo (9-4) and Far Eastern (9-4) and most recent qualifier NU (7-6) cornered the Final Four seats with at least a game to spare.
They may be out of it but the Lady Maroons have somehow shown they’s a semis-caliber bunch by beating the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Eagles one after the other.
