Road rage suspect’s camp offers P300K for full video
MANILA, Philippines - The camp of road rage suspect David Lim Jr. is offering a P300,000 reward for anyone who can produce the full video of the confrontation he had with nurse Ephraim Nuñal, which ended with Lim shooting the victim in Cebu City.
Lim’s lawyer, Orlando Salatandre, said in a television interview that the entire dashboard camera video would give the whole picture that his client acted in self-defense.
Lim is insisting that he shot Nuñal because he had to protect himself after some of Nuñal’s companions went down from the car.
“When I went down the car, he kept on shouting at me so I got into a fistfight and when I saw his male companions – there were more than one – that’s where I felt threatened,” Lim said in an interview.
Excerpts of the video show Lim shooting Nuñal using a short firearm following a traffic altercation. The victim is still confined in hospital for gunshot wounds on his leg.
Police are looking for the firearm, which Lim threw away after the incident.
Lim claimed he could no longer remember where he disposed of the handgun, which authorities believe is a .22 caliber pistol.
