Pundo sa DPS giproblemahan
CEBU, Philippines - Gisugyot ni Deputy Speaker Gwendolyn Garcia ang paggamit sa calamity fund sa mga local government units alang sa pagmugna sa Department of Public Safety.
Kini atol sa pagtuki sa House Committee on Public Order and Safety labot sa funding component sa House Bill No. 6 tumong sa pagmugna sa DPS kinsa usa sa mga niduso mao si Kongresista Benhur Salimbangon sa ikaupat nga distrito sa Probinsiya sa Sugbo.
Ang DPS mugnaon alang sa mga probinsiya, siyudad ug lungsod aron maoy mopatuman sa kaluwasan ug seguridad, pagdumala sa trapiko, ug pagtubag sa mga emerhensiya ug katalagman.
Si Garcia, kinsa kanhi gobernador sa Sugbo, nagkanayon nga ang pundo sa maong departamento ang makaapektar gyud sa panudlanan sa matag LGU.
Kini human usab ang League of the Provinces nipadayag nga samtang suportado nila ang plano apan duna silay kabalaka sa paggahin og pundo sa DPS.
“This is exactly what I expected to hear from the local governments. Perhaps, a proper amendment could be done particularly of Section 5 of the bill which is about the DPS funding. The DPS that we will be creating could be passed if we can consider using the calamity funds of each LGU since the funding cannot be a continuing appropriation,” matud ni Garcia.
