The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Fil-British karter and aspiring F1 driver Alex Dimaano Brown bested the tough field to nail his first junior championship in Malaysia’s maiden X30 series and clinch a berth in Le Mans X30 World Championship slated this week in France.

The 13-year-old Brown, a two time Singapore National cadet champion and considered one of Asia’s rising talents in motorsports, took pole position in all races and won all but one of the five races of the series to dominate the field.

“I am extremely proud of this as I am the first Filipino to win it,” said Brown. “I am also very excited to be competing in Le Mans with around 150 of the best karters in the world.”

The Le Mans world tilt is slated Oct. 11-16.
