22nd SSC Open Invitational Midget Swimfest: PSL tankers kumuha ng 2 gold medals

MANILA, Philippines – Tinapos ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) ang kanilang kampanya bitbit ang dalawang ginto, tatlong pilak at dalawang tansong medalya sa pagtiklop ng 22nd SSC Open Invitational Midget Meet ka­hapon sa Singapore Swimming Club competition pool sa Singapore.

Nagdagdag ng isang ginto si Aubrey Tom ng International Learning Aca­demy of Cainta sa girls’ 9-year 25-meter freestyle matapos magrehistro ng 15.27 segundo.

Nakumpleto ni Trizia Haileyana Tabamo ang 1-2 punch nang masiguro ang pilak sa kanyang 15.53 segundo.

Nauna nang nakasiguro ng ginto si Tom sa unang araw ng kumpetisyon nang pagreynahan ang 25m butterfly sa bilis na 15.85 segundo.

Kumuha ng isang pilak at isang tanso si Marc Bryan Dula ng Weisenhei­mer Academy sa boys’ 9-year category gayundin si Master Charles Janda na nakasiwat ng isang pilak at isang tanso sa boys’ 7-year event.

Pumangalawa si Dula sa 25m butterfly (15.54) at pangatlo sa 25m backstroke (17.79), habang na­kapilak si Janda sa 25m butterfly (19.39) at tanso sa 25m backstroke (22.40) sa torneong nilahukan ng matitikas na tankers mula Chi­na, Japan, Thailand, Viet­nam, Australia, Indone­sia, Malaysia at host Singa­pore.

“It was a tremendous winnings for our veteran swimmer and a great exposure for our beginners. Our grassroots development program is gaining each year. The nine-year-old be­low swimmers are now very active and we are pro­ducing more swimmers from grassroots,” pahayag ni PSL president Susan Pa­pa na kasama sa dele­gasyon si PSL secretary ge­neral Maria Susan Benasa at sina coaches Alex Papa, Aidar Umih at Greg Sumile.
