Rescue Run set May 29
CEBU, Philippines - Hundreds of runners are expected to participate in this year’s edition of the Rescue Run slated on May 29 in Danao City.
Aside from competition, the running event will also be a fund raising program for the Special Assistance and Rescue Incorporated (SAFARI), a non-profit and non-government rescue group based in Danao City.
Organized in 2002, SAFARI has served not only in Danao, but also from neighboring towns in Cebu.
The race features 6K and 3K distances. Cash prizes await the top three performers in each category.
Entry fee is pegged at P200 for 3K and P300 for the 6K. Registration is ongoing at the SAFARI Rescuers' Pad located at the Danao City Fire Station and Suba Barangay Hall.
