Rosemarie Sonora to explode a bombshell soon?

- Ricky L. Calderon - The Freeman

Is this true? Rosemarie Sonora, the sister of Ms. Susan Roces, and the mother of Sheryl Cruz and Wowie Cruz, reportedly arrived in the Philippines secretly.

For the longest time, Rosemarie had been staying in the United States, and so it came as a surprise that she came home, and secretly at that. And she has no plans of meeting with her elder sister, Susan, the mom of senator and presidential candidate Grace Poe.

Politics divides families because of affiliations and interests. Since Sheryl had come out in the open that she is against Grace’s decision to run for the presidency, we can safely assume (but we can also be mistaken) that her mother Rosemarie and her brother Wowie (despite being an employee in Senator Grace’s office but had been AWOL) share the sentiment.

According to a source, Rosemarie, Sheryl and Wowie are calling a press conference any day now to explode a bombshell against Senator Poe.  The three will supposedly reveal in their presscon that Senator Grace is allegedly bipolar.

We just want to ask how someone who didn’t witness Grace grow up (Rosemarie was abroad for a long time, same with Sheryl) be brave enough to say that Grace is bipolar? Grace herself was abroad when she completed her college degree, but she didn’t stay with her aunt.

So we are just wondering how Rosemarie, Sheryl and Wowie support their claim that Senator Grace is allegedly bipolar. Well, with the elections fast approaching, we can expect more mudslinging and accusations coming from all angles, aimed at discrediting the candidates whether or not they are leading the surveys or lagging behind.

One year after being launched as DIGITAL 5, the digital support team of MediaQuest, it has evolved into D5 Studio, a multi-platform, multi-discipline, and multi-channel creation network that produces digital content, innovative tools, and experiences.

With the promise of “building and nurturing experiences for the empowered, fluid and vocal generation,” D5 Studio has vastly expanded its content platforms to three major components.

D5 Studio Originals focuses on producing original digital content on entertainment and music that seeks to connect with audiences by telling different stories of the Filipino youth.

“Our D5 Studio Originals showcases a new breed of digital programming that is braving the online content landscape with unconventional show themes and formats,” explains D5 Studio Vice-President and Head Lloyd Manaloto at the launch of D5 Studio held yesterday at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Fort.

Another important component of the D5 Studio is GG Network, which aims to bring together the country’s top game streamers, local publishers and international game distributors to bring you the best in local and international gaming content and eSports events.

“We are taking gaming to a whole new level,” Manaloto enthused.

Finally, there’s uLOLs, the humor platform of D5 Studio that aims to produce relevant and sharable content (e.g. articles, memes, videos, photos) on Pinoy culture and today’s trends.

“We are presenting a new breed of programming and a diverse line-up of shows for everyone,”added Manaloto.

Also in the program list of D5 Studio is an entertainment program titled “Forever Sucks” which stars Jasmine Curtis Smith, JC Santos and Gab Pangilinan.

On April 23, the regular strollers of Mall of Asia will be temporarily replaced by guitar-donning, drum-beating ambassadors for Mother Earth. It’s April and it’s Earthday Jam Time! Now on its 16th year, this musical marathon celebrating International Earth Day shows no signs of slowing down. Starting at 5 p.m., join the over 100 musicians and artists in an eight-hour musical journey that’s bound to be extremely wild and fun.

Earthday Jam will feature more than 15 big names in various musical genres. Kicking off the festivities is Brigada, the premiere Afro-Brazilian percussion ensemble in the Philippines. This will pave the way for an exciting journey of various musical performances from some of the country’s top acts.

Women dominate this year’s set with soul singer Nina, bossa nova artist Sitti, producer-performer Lou Bonnevie, singer-songwriter Kitchie Nadal and Barbie Almabis. Women-fronted bands will definitely rock the house with Gracenote, vocalist-actress Arci Muñoz and her band Philia, and fresh from the United States, newcomer all-female band Flying Ipis and the youngest participating band Absolute Play.

Rock bands performing are Slapshock, Kjwan, and the Chongkeys. Pop rock bands with their power hits 6CycleMinds and Mayonnaise join the roster with the Prince of Hiphop, favorite modern poet Abra.

“This is some sort of reunion for us at the Mall of Asia. We were here in 2011 and we had so much fun. The audience is more diverse and so we find it more challenging to bring across the message of environmental care and protection,” said Lou Bonnevie, founder of Earthday Jam and president of Earthday Jam Foundation.

“We want our efforts to reach an even wider audience…promoting environmental awareness down to the people who know nothing about global warming and environmental issues.”

Earthday Jam is a special project of Earthday Jam Foundation, Inc. in cooperation with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENTR) and SM Mall of Asia. Earthday Jam side activities include a whole day exhibit around the performance area at SM By the Bay, a Firefly Brigade’s afternoon bike ride which is open to the public with the CCP grounds as starting point and commencing at the JAM in MOA and a youth painting activity by the seawall.

Admission is free. For more information, like Earthday Jam Foundation on Facebook or call 897-6991.
