KC and Paulo play coy on real score

- Ricky L. Calderon - The Freeman

We wonder what is stopping KC Concepcion and Paulo Avelino from admitting if there is really a romance brewing between them. At their recent guest appearance on “Gandang Gabi Vice” last Sunday, it was very noticeable that the two were groping for words to answer the probing questions of Vice Ganda who was very good in “grilling” the two. When asked about the status of their relationship, they sure had a hard time replying in a way that won’t give away information or hints as to what is the real score.

From the way they sounded, KC and Paulo, it seems, have an “open relationship” which they want to keep a secret. But why is it so? Why don’t just be open and admit it?

There’s no hindrance if ever KC and Paulo decide to become a couple. Both of them are unattached. They look good together and the chemistry is very much evident. And it is obvious that they like each other.

They are not teenagers who are protecting a loveteam and who can’t be lovey-dovey for the sake of their respective fans. If they would come out in the open, it would be good for both of them. After all, they are adults and certainly know what they are getting into.

KC’s and Paulo’s appearance in Vice Ganda’s program was meant to drum up interest for their morning series “Give Love on Christmas Day: Exchange Gift” which airs every morning before “It’s Showtime.” Had they been more open about their relationship, maybe the audience would be more inclined to watch their show even more.

We were pleased when we saw on Facebook the pictures of the intimate party that Sharon Cuneta held with her closest friends. The photos showed Sharon in a happy mood. In her post, she even said that was the first time that she had a good laugh since May of last year.

The past year was not a good one for Sharon. She went through midlife crisis, her show was cancelled and she severed her ties with the Kapatid network. Before the year ended, she lost her dear mother. It was good to know that Sharon is slowly but surely getting back her old, jolly self.

In her post, Sharon said:  “Sharing with you some photos taken at my small birthday dinner (more like a children’s party, really, but with better food!) a few hours ago. It was my first time to laugh so much so often since – and this is no exaggeration – around May last year. Thank you, Lord Jesus for real friends old and new! I so needed this get-together.”

Among those who attended the intimate dinner were Judy Ann Santos, Agot Isidro, director Joyce Bernal, Fanny Serrano, Sandy Santamaria, Eloisa Matias (former executive producer of “The Sharon Cuneta Show”), Olive Isidro, and talent manager Sandra Chavez.

Incidentally, Sharon also voiced out on Facebook her concern regarding certain individuals who had been using her pictures for fake ads about products used for weight loss. She said it is not true that she is using these products to lose weight and they are using her photos without her knowledge and consent.

Several bogus ads have come out in Facebook which prompted her to warn fans and the public of the deception. She said she is now discussing with her lawyers what course of action to take against the wrongdoers. She ought to protect her name which she built through hard work and diligence.
