MANILA, Philippines - The operations of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 were disrupted anew Thursday morning due to a broken rail along the southbound tracks at the Boni Avenue station in Mandaluyong City.
The discovery of the broken rail forced the MRT management to limit the trip from North Avenue to Shaw Boulevard stations.
MRT 3 officer-in-charge Renato San Jose said they traced the track abnormality shortly before 8 a.m.
"Hindi po pwedeng padaanan ng tren dahil baka madiskaril ang tren," San Jose said.
Around 8:40 a.m., the rail system resumed full line operations from North Avenue to Taft Avenue.
