Unidentified man shoots Lapu local
CEBU, Philippines - A man died on the spot after being shot by a lone gunman in Sitio Kalubihan in Barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.
Mark Go, 28, who has a live-in partner and a resident of San Carlos Subdivision in Barangay Marigondon, was already lifeless when the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation arrived at the crime scene.
He sustained a lone gunshot wound on his neck which caused his instant death.
Police were able to recover an empty shell of .45 caliber pistol.
Police investigation revealed at around 10:30 Thursday evening, the victim was walking in the area and was followed by an unidentified man.
Upon reaching a dim area, Go was then shot by the suspect who hurriedly left the place after a gunshot burst was heard by people walking by.
Police have yet to verify allegations that the suspect was involved in illegal drug trade. (FREEMAN)
