Grand Lotto pot to hit P143 M

MANILA, Philippines - The jackpot of the 6/55 Grand Lotto online game is expected to hit P143 million in tonight’s draw, a Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) official said yesterday.

PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas said nobody won the six-digit winning combination on Monday – 08-29-17-51-26-32 – with a prize of P132,512,236.

Rojas said at least 19 players won P127,240 each after they guessed five numbers of the winning combination.

He said lotto ticket sales soared from an average of P25 million per draw to P48 million during the last draw.

Meanwhile, a 65-year-old retiree from Valenzuela City has claimed the P50,677,708 jackpot of the P6/42 lotto draw on March 23.

The bettor, who is married with three children, guessed the winning combination 01-05-15-20-21-23.

The winner plans to pay his housing loan, invest in business, buy a car and save for the future of his children, Rojas said.
