SM, Cathay Pacific celebrate partnership

CEBU, Philippines - Corporate Executives and members of the media recently gathered together at the SM Megamall Atrium to celebrate and formally launch the collaboration of The SM Store, Cathay Pacific, and partners banks for their joint Shop and Fly Anywhere in the World promotion.

The promotion brings together giants in their own fields – Cathay Pacific for travel and The SM Store for retail, as well as top banks – who have joined together to give The SM Store customers and card holders from participating banks credit cards a chance to take that trip that they have been dreaming of. The latter include BDO,Citibank, Metrobank, Eastwest Bank, BPI, PNB and RCBC.

The partnership was celebrated in a ceremonial toast led by The SM Store President Jorge T. Mendiola and Cathay Pacific Country Manager Martin Xu.  Joining them were partner bank executives: Citibank Credit Payment Products Director David Stoughton, RCBC Bankard President and CEO Oscar Biason, BDO EVP for Consumer Lending Group Rolando Tanchanco, East West Bank Executive Vice President of Consumer Lending Cluster Jackie Fernandez, Metrobank Card VP for Cards Marketing Mon Tioseco, PNB FVP for Sales and Marketing Head Sarah Navarro, and BPI AVP Luisa Mendiola.

With this partnership, shoppers of The SM Store  will not only enjoy the one stop shopping excitement, great assortment of merchandise, and superb service it has been known for, but also get a chance to win a trip to the destination of their choice in its Shop & Fly Anywhere in the World promotion.  

Sixty (60) lucky winners will receive airline tickets for two to a destination of their choice that is served by Cathay Pacific in the SM Store and Cathay Pacific’s joint raffle promotion together with participating credit cards.

Winners can choose from over 170 exciting Cathay Pacific destinations that include the iconic cities like Paris, Rome, Sydney Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai.

Shoppers qualify for the raffle with every P5,000 single-receipt straight transaction made until March 31, 2014 using their Philippine-issued BDO, Metrobank, Eastwest Bank, BPI, Citibank, PNB and RCBC Bankard credit card.
