Maharlika Brotherhood organized nationwide

MANILA, Philippines - The Maharlika Movement for National Transformation Inc. has formed “Maharlika Brotherhood” nationwide, covering 14 regions, to join and support the public call for reforms after the exposé on the pork barrel scam.

In a recent emergency meeting with the heads of aligned organizations in the 14 regions, the Movement ratified the resolutions of 11 reform-oriented associations, mostly from Mindanao, to join forces and support the “advocacy of change and reforms” spearheaded by thousands of social media users.

In a statement, former senator Eddie Ilarde founder and chairman of the Maharlika Movement, together with several heads of the aligned groups, said, “The present public outrage against the shameless theft of the people’s money in the government and the urgent call for massive reforms and changes is in accordance with the Maharlika Movement’s demand for national transformation.”

“There are many oppressive and evil things in our country that need to be exterminated and the best time to do it is now. Changing ‘Philippines’ to ‘Maharlika,’ for one, is a most awaited evolution of our country toward renascence,” he added.

Retired Commodore Ismael Aparri, founder and chair of V-Templar, said, “We should all seize the moment when changes and reforms are timely in order that our country can march toward progress and peace, unhampered by wrong and evil policies in a status quo that needs cleansing.”
