PCA holds first Saturday chess tourney
MANILA, Philippines - The Parañaque Chess Association will hold the 70th edition of the first Saturday chess tournament on Nov. 2 with another big field expected to clash for top honors in various divisions at the Perez Bldg. on Doña Soledad Ave. cor. Australia St., Better Living Subd., Parañaque.
Registration is ongoing with fee pegged at P250 (regular) and P150 (kiddies) for untitled and rated players with NCFP ratings of 1950 or below.
Titles to be disputed are the seniors, college, high school, elementary and female with cash prizes and trophies at stake.
The event is organized by the PCA, headed by Bong Perez and sponsored by Rep. Abraham Tolentino, Mayor Edwin Olivarez, Vice Mayor Rico Golez, Kagawad Chona Navarro, Boy Francisco, Spare and Strike, Shakey’s Pizza-SM Bicutan and Organo Gold Phils.
