Freeman Cebu Lifestyle

Groundbreaking Geometry of Strong shoe series

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Saucony, the multi-awarded running shoe brand worn by today’s elite runners, recently hit the Visayan shores with the introduction of its Geometry of Strong technology, a groundbreaking advancement for runners everywhere, at the Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines in Cebu.

Geometry of Strong

Looking into every detail to help runners run more efficiently, Saucony launched the Geometry of Strong series, a completely redesigned heel-to-toe offset of 8mm - 33% lower than the average running shoe of 12mm – on three of the brand’s best-selling award winning models: the Guide, Hurricane and Triumph. This change in geometry allows runners to adjust their stride and land on their midfoot offering greater control, alignment and suspension, allowing for a more powerful stride.

Guide 6: Stability in Every Move

The Guide is Saucony’s flagship shoe and winner of Runner’s World International’s coveted Best Shoe of the Year award.  The Guide 6 features a fit and ride designed to meet the needs of runners seeking stability in an everyday training shoe.

Hurricane 15:

Great Fit and Feel

Awarded Best Update by Runner’s World, the Hurricane is Saucony’s full featured premium guidance shoe. The Hurricane 15 blends the features of a traditional stability shoe with the feel of a flexible, lightweight trainer the Hurricane is known for.

Triumph 10 – Form and Function

The Triumph 10 is highly recommended for runners who are looking for a shoe that strikes the perfect balance in both form and function. This shoe features deeper flex groove in the forefoot for added flexibility, while its breathable open mesh and a supportive upper provide comfort in every stride.

Distribution outlets

In Cebu, Saucony is available in SM Cebu Department Store and The Brick (for Cebu newspapers). For more information, go to www.facebook.com/SauconyPhilippines or follow SauconyPH on Twitter.

Where art thou?

A dozen will tell you more.

Is fashion art?

The runway is our dissertation for this subject.

Eyes on the bold.

Twelve painters and 12 fashion designers

will confer for ARTspeak, a collaboration of the visual disciplines, utilizing different strokes and folks.

On October 4 at the Ayala Activity Center,

curtains will be raised by girls

all dressed up in the latest holiday frocks from

Cebu’s 12 fashion incredibles:

Rey Santos, Myrna Cebrecus, Albert Arriba,

Ditas Rodriguez,  Marichu Tan, Protacio,

Ren Manabat, Philipp Tampus, Yvonne Quisumbing,

Wendell Quisido, William Manahan, and Barbie Alvez.

With assigned painting by a local artist—

from Kimsoy Yap to Celso Pepito—

to inspire their haute couture numbers, each has his own journey of the creative metamorphosis.

Then, on October 5, transformed into an exhibit

at the Paseo Marina of Ayala Center Cebu,

ARTspeak will open the floor to the public.

Talk to The Freeman Lifestyle editors,

who’ll be the curators.

“What do you think?”— the artists will surely greet you.

Make room if designers will throw a big hug

or kiss you twice.

They’re just too happy to see you.

But really, is fashion art?

You’re the critic.
