Mighty Sports rips Globalport

MANILA, Philippines - Defending champion Mighty Sports downed Globalport, 102-89, to book its first win in the Danny Espiritu Cup at the EAC gym in Manila over the weekend.

Niño Marquez exploded in the third quarter as Mighty Sports broke away from a tight contest to post the win, its second in four games in the event held in honor of pro agent Danny Espiritu.

Marquez scattered 10 of his 17 points in the pivotal to help Mighty Sports pull away for good.

McLean Sabellina led Mighty Sports with 31 points while Edrick Ferrer hit three triples in the first quarter to finish with 14 markers.
