Double Shooters win fourth straight

CEBU, Philippines — The Double Shooters kept their undefeated record intact with an 89-74 trashing of the Outlaws in the D’Generals Basketball League Season 3 at the Aulga City Sports gym along Sombria Street in Barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City.

Mitch Gallardo exploded for 31 points with five rebounds and four assists for the Double Shooters to grab the Jackermz Best Player of the Game honors.

Alloy Sayson added 21 points, four rebounds and five assists as the Double Shooters took the solo lead in Bracket A with an immaculate 4-0 slate.

Chris Arden Mapait fired a game-high tying 31 points with seven boards and five assists but to no avail as the Outlaws fell to 1-3.

In Bracket B, Lawis Ballerhood improved to 3-2 after edging past 2NF, 69-66.

Marjhon Alontaga paced Lawis Ballerhood with 14 points, eight rebounds, and two assists to become the Shoe-Ice Best Player of the Game.

Alontaga was backed by Kevin Nacman with 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Ryan Gadoy sank five 3-pointers of his 19 points and added four boards and five dimes but to no avail as 2NF dropped to 1-3.

In the other result, Lizter Abastas unloaded 27 points, seven rebounds, and six assists as Elohim barged into the win column with a 87-78 whacking of NYCSA.

Frederick Villanueva chipped in 19 points, eight rebounds, and three assists to help Elohim snap a three-game jinx.

John Mark Cañeda bagged 27 points with three rebounds and five assists for his efforts went to the dustbin as NYCSA stayed listless in four games.
