Double CESAFI Finals set today

CEBU, Philippines —  After getting postponed

due to tropical storm Basyang, the best-of-three Finals in both 12 and 15 Under divisions of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Season 25 basketball tournament will kick off today (Saturday,  February 7) at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons are eyeing a historic Grand Slam in the U12 age group as they take on the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Baby Wildcats at 3 p.m.

In the main match at 4 p.m., the Baby Lancers are aiming to become the first back-to-back champions in the U15 category but they face a tall order as they square off against the undefeated CIT-U Junior Wildcats who thrashed them, 44-59, in the elimination round.

Before the twin title showdown, the knockout battle for third will take place.

In the 1 p.m. opener, the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles will tackle the San Carlos School of Cebu (SCSC) Baby Warriors for the second runner-up trophy in U12 while the SHS-AdC juniors will mix it up with the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Baby Panthers at 2 p.m. for the bronze medal in U15.
