PRISAA National Games: Unbeaten UC Webmasters roll into quarterfinals

CEBU, Philippines — The University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters completed a three-game elimination round sweep with a 71-42 rout of St. Joseph’s College of Maasin City to propel Central Visayas to the men’s basketball quarterfinals of the 2025 Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) National Games on Wednesday, April 9, at the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) Gym in Cagayan Province.

The Webmasters were ahead by only four, 16-12, after the opening session but hammered down their rivals from Eastern Visayas in the next two quarters to establish a comfortable 55-37 lead going into the last 10 minutes of play.

UC then handcuffed the Maasinhon cagers to a palty five points in the final period while scoring 16 to come up with a 29-point cakewalk.

The Webmasters, thus, set up a Final Eight showdown with Nothern Mindanao (Region 10) at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday, April 10).
