CEBU, Philippines — Mark Anthony Ynoc of San Remigio Beach Club stole the show with 22 points as Team West overpowered their East rivals, 62-53, in the basketball All-Star Game of Hotel Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu, Inc. (HRRACI) Sportsfest 2024 on Sunday, July 21, at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) gym along Salinas Drive in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

Ynoc, a former varsity player of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles who is currently the president of Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), also pulled down five rebounds and passed two assists to become the hands down choice as All-Star Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Ron Manalang of Seda Central Bloc, who once saw action with the San Beda Red Cubs during his high school days, chipped in 12 markers laced with three boards and three steals, while Danny Ting of Parklane International Hotel and Bryan Lasala of Waterfront Hotel and Casino-Lahug also figured prominently at they combined for 18 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals for the West squad.

HRRACI President Alfred Reyes of Bai Hotel Cebu also showcased his hardcourt skills, finishing with four points, five rebounds, and two assists for the West, which was in full command of the match since getting off to a sizzling 17-10 start.

Under the guidance of coach Randy de la Pisa, the West sustained its hot charge the rest ot the way and went ahead by as much as 18 points, 62-44, in the closing seconds of the contest.

Chris Gothong of Solea Resort paced the East with 17 points, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals.

Domiku Ugarte of Maribago Bluewater Resort posted a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Brian Noel of Plantation Bay Resort and Spa finished with seven points, 14 rebounds, one assist, and one block in a losing effort.
