ACL Season 2 gets underway

CEBU, Philippines — The Season 2 of Athletic Cebu League (ACL) successfully kicked off at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club along D. Jakosalem Street in Cebu City.

ACL commissioner Mardion Delima said a total of 20 teams divided into four brackets are seeing action in the tournament.

The participating hospitals are Cebu Doctors, Chong Hua, Vicente Sotto, UCMed, NorthGen and SouthGen, Maayo, St. Vincent, Adventist, Mactan Doctors, Perpetual Succour, and St. Anthony Mother and Child.

They will play a single round robin in the elimination round.

The top two teams per bracket will advance to the crossover playoffs. The winners will proceed to the semis, and then to the championship.

Meanwhile, Almirah Orbase of Chong Hua-Mandaue was crowned as Miss ACL Season 2. Chelsea Bola o of Chong Hua-Fuente bagged the Ms. Badbeat Sportswear award, while Nicole Mykaela Mi oza of Mactan Doctors Hospital was Ms. Mardion D. Sports.
