All set for 2024 CEPCA President’s Cup tourney
CEBU, Philippines — Everything is already in place for the 2024 Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association (CEPCA) President’s Cup Open Chess Tournament slated on May 18 at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
A total of P30,000 in cash prize is at stake for the winners of the annual tilt spearheaded by CEPCA President Engr. Jerry Maratas as part of his birthday celebration.
The champion will go home P8,000 richer, while the second fifth placers will pocket P5,000, P3,000, P2,000, and P1,000, respectively. The sixth and seventh will get P800 and P700, the eighth to 10th P500 each, and the 11th to 15th P300 apiece.
The top two performers among Cepcans A and B, seniors, ladies, and Under 8, 12, 16, and 20 participants will have an incentive of P500 and P300.
Registration fee is pegged at P300 for regular players and P200 for those with discounts.
