CEC Dragons savor another championship moment
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons snared another crown.
This time in 3x3 hoops.
The in-form Dragons outclassed Pardo National High School (PNHS), 21-12, in the final match to reign supreme in the secondary boys 3x3 basketball event of the 2024 Cebu City Olympics at the Cebu City Sports Institute (CCSI) gym in Barangay Sawang Calero recently.
Under the guidance of coach Rodmark del Rosario, the CEC 3x3 champion team is composed of Caelan Mack, Andrey Roa, Lybron Lamo, and Francis Gonzales.
Mark Anthony Tallo serves as their team manager, with Karenrick De la Cerna and Dax Abacila as deputy coaches.
The Dragons brace next for a much tougher challenge as they represent the Queen City of South in the 3x3 cage wars of the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet in May.
It’s the second title grabbed by the Easternians in two month’s time.
In December last year, the Baby Dragons ruled the 12 Under elementary category of the 23rd Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) basketball season undefeated in nine games.
