Shetzue’s Razor grabs back-to-back crowns in TUF Basketball

CEBU, Philippines — Sharp as ever, Shetzue’s Razor outclassed Chicken St., 85-77, to clinch back-to-back titles in TUF Basketball League Season 5 at the Benedicto College gym in Cebu City.

Orly Amores showed the way for Shetzue’s Razor with 15 points and five assists to emerge as the Finals MVP.

Allen Tarona shined brightly on the defensive end, pulling down 15 rebounds laced with one block and a steal as Shetzue’s Razor successfully defended its throne.

Shetzue’s completely dominated Chicken St. from the get-go. They raced to a hot 27-17 start before breezing through a 13-point advantage, 54-41, at the break.

Shetzue’s then maintained double-digit leads including at 69-59 cushion after three quarters. They never looked back from there onwards.

Chicken St.’s consolation was their top gunner Syv Millevo being honored as the season MVP.

In the battle for third place, Danny Nilas exploded for 28 points on top of six assists while JP Alejandro added 12 rebounds, two blocks and one steal to power RW Freight X Joher past AKP Cebu Ball Club, 85-79.
