Sanchez, Ricafrente lead Pedal Kings XC Tour winners
CEBU, Philippines — Jessie Sanchez and Danielle Ricafrente topped the list of winners during the Pedal Kings XC Tour and Fun Ride staged last Sunday, October 23, in Jubay, Liloan north of Cebu.
Sanchez came out as champion in the 40-above division after outclassing Albert Basirgo and Roel Taborda as Roldan Paschal and Nick Malon settled for fourth and fifth, respectively.
In the women’s class, Ricafrente snared the crown after edging Jessa Aguelo and AJ Talls. Sandra Rose Costanilla and Aleya Kate Nombrado completed the top five finishers.
Victor Piongpiong stole part of the show after reigning supreme in the 29-39 age group that saw Nicho Lumay, Jorice Zabate, Adz Sanchez, and Jun Duron occupying the second to fifth spots.
The rest of the top performers were Aljun Villarin (18-28) and Khalil Sanchez (17 Under).
Rounding up the top five were Israel Go, John Paul Dagatan, Jaemeile Paul Holifeña, and Rovik Khalid
Cartagena in the 18-28 category, and Mark Arcilla, Cyril Yrog Irog, Samstill Mamites, and Earl Ryan Caliposan in the 17 Under.
Organized by CSAS in partnership with Team Cobo and Liloan LGU, the highly successful race and fun ride has attracted 324 riders all the way from Bohol, Dumaguete, Moalboal, Badian, Toledo and other parts of Cebu. — EBV
